Ghandi allegedly said " I like your Christ, I do not like your Christian's , they are not so much like your Christ". Not sure if he really said that or not. I saw it on a bumper sticker.

I am sorry you feel that way. Some of what you say is true, but there are "just normal" Christians who simply have a passion and desire to follow, obey, share and please God. Just remember that when dealing with Christians, they are also only human and therefore, regardless of what they or anyone else may think, they sin. They make mistakes. I agree some are bigoted, hateful and spiteful, but to call names makes me no better and also makes me less like Christ, so although I will try to point this out to them, I will not resort to name calling and judging. Again, sorry that your experiences have been negative ones. I hope you have an opportunity to meet a Christian that will be uplifting and show you how Christ would have us act.

Just because someone identifies themselves as Christian doesn't mean they actually understand what that means. I do have to wonder why you say a large percentage. I've been a Christian for about 20 years. I've gone to several different churches in several different states. As far as I can determine the largest percentage are not hateful, spiteful people but normal people with all their good and bad points. Perhaps it's just that the bad are emphasized while the good don't look for publicity but work in the background.

I Know what you're talking about, some Christians or per fessed Christians, just can't quite turn loose their old Carnal ways. We have to feed our spirit, or it will get weak, just like we have to feed our natural body, or it will get weak.
There are times when the world makes us feel just like you said you felt. Some people complain that some try to cram religion down their throat, I must say, if that was possible, I would certainly try. I just wish they understood.

because all of the "good" Pharisees, Sadducees, etc. thought they were better than the "3rd class" people, so to speak. Christ was the only one who accepted the people for who they really were, and He still does today. The "good" people of society don't love anybody except who they are directly influenced by (friends, family, co-workers, etc.) and do not care about those who cannot always help themselves. Christ accepted everybody for who they were, without trying to change them.

If you really read the gospels, you'll find Jesus wondered the same things. Go on, check it out. He never has one harsh word to say to the sinners, prostitutes, etc. Anytime he talks about judgment or hell, for example, it's ALWAYS to people who claim to be followers of God, or even his own disciples. To the sinners, he just says, hey let's go eat and drink!

Because a large number of us are stuck to how the catholics do everything. Some of us don't act as nicely as others. Then again, none of us, (Christian or otherwise) are perfect.

Sounds like you hang out with a bunch of fanatics to me. Or the sucker "Type" who calles himself one, but is in it for the money and prestige. Or them uptight "Jesus loves you, and I completely forgot about his Father." So you might avoid the noid of them frauds. This is why I refuse to go under a "Lable."

people are mirror images of the things we want to see. You will always find the bad your looking for if that is all you want to see. In truth none of us live up to how it should and could be. No not one has obtained perfection.
