I know it is done and I know it works! Now I have to reference my general knowledge. Does anyone know where I can find a reputable reference about alternating acetaminophen and ibuprofen in a child to reduce fever? Quick! I am working on an assignment for pharmacy school. I was suppose to have it turned in at 10:00, but I can't find anything about this.... HELP!!!

We were always taught to just stick with one or the other. There is not need to alternate. In fact, may not be recommended because the drugs have different half lives/dosing schedules. It will get a parent confused.
Ibuprofen is the more powerful drug.

Anything I'm reading is saying there is no evidence from clinical trials that it works. Or at least nothing has been published.

Maybe try this. I don't have time to read the entire thing.
