Lately I've been worrying about my heart stopping for no reason.
What keeps a persons heart beating and what keeps it from stopping?

Although medical science does not know the exact way it keeps beating, there is the knowledge that the brain has a hand in keeping all of your involuntary organs working, including your heart. Electrical impulses play a role, coming from the brain. But what is extremely interesting to me is the fact that when heart muscle cells are taken from a beating heart and placed under a microscope, each CELL beats! I am not lieing! Is that amazing or what?

All you can know for sure is that your heart will wear out if you do not treat your body with respect. That means eating right, with plenty of fresh vegetables, lean meat and poultry and plenty of FISH to promote Omega fats. Stay away from stimulants such as SUGAR, CAFFINE, and certain DRUGS.

Get plenty of sleep each night, at least 8 full hours of restful sleep.
Get plenty of good exercise. Start slow if you have not been active all of your life, then build up gradually in your activities.

Stay away from bad fats because your heart is supplied with fresh blood by four small arteries/veins that easily get clogged especially later in life. It is when these "supplier vessels" get clogged that heart attacks happen and permanent damage can occur.

If you feel your rhythm of the beats of your heart is irregular, by all means get yourself to a doctor immediately! There are so many great tests and electronics and testing facilities like MMRs and other machines that take pictures of the heart at every angle to see if it is okay.

Hope this helps you.
