make it special... make it romantic, let her know that you don't wanna be there with anyone but her...send her little notes, leave notes and hints and maybe a single rose on her desk in one of her classes each day...peak her interest..and when you feel like you have her attention, be honest and speak from your heart

If you're afraid to ask, what are you going to do all night during prom? Why are people afraid of people? Just ask, the worst that can happen is she says no.

Ask around to see if she has a date yet.....her friends should know...
Go get a nice bouqet of flowers and go up to her...ask her if she has plans for prom.....if not, pull the flowers from behind you....
Tell her that you think it would be an honor if she would go to the prom with you....
Be a gentleman....tell her how nice she looks.

What do you know of her, what does she like? Cater to those likes, if she likes horses invite her riding and ask.
A little humor goes a long way.
Or send her a dozen roses with the request of her presence as your date.
Above all treat her with class and respect when you ask or when you are around her and I am sure she will at least consider you as a date.

personally. i had this girlfriend in high school. and i good with cars, so i broke into her car while she was at school and put a rose on her car seat and something else, i dont really remember. but she loved it was something different. dont break any windows out of her car. but sometimes something simple like that is the quickest way to a girls heart. find out what she likes to do and take her there or do that thing that she likes and do it there. it helps if shes comfortable.

i like this one, dude you should be so confident, i garuantee a lot of girls are thinking the same way about you, you would be suprised you likes you. If you know the chick just straight up ask if she's already tooken, and if not make your move, if you hardly talk to her, hang around her and do the same thing, dont be bashful. the girls like us too.

Ask her if she thinks you should ask her to the prom and see what she says. If "Yes", then go ahead. If, "Not sure", then say "Who should I ask?". Go from there.
