pork is great. it is not always fatty, there are some cuts of pork that are fatty, some that are lean, and some inbetween the two. its yummy and plenty good for you especialy when prepared in a health conscious way. boar is also good like a even leaner pork.

That depends on what you believe. Personally, I don't eat pork or anything else from a pig because pigs are disgusting creatures that will eat anything (I mean ANYTHING, they are literally fed garbage) and they don't sweat. The way I think of it is that if they don't sweat, where are all the pig-toxins? Stored in their muscle, which is what you're eating when you eat pork. Pig meat is also full of parasites (take a piece of raw bacon, put it in a glass jar with the lid on tight, and put it out in the sun for a while... there will be things crawling on the bacon).

Some people are not bothered by either of these things, saying that if you cook the meat enough the toxins are cooked off and the parasites are killed. I don't want to take the chance with the toxins and I don't want to eat dead parasites any more than I do live ones. I have also heard the arguments that all meat is filled with parasites and that we all have them... but I'd still rather not eat pig.

Pork is fine to eat but it does present some difficulties in cooking it properly.
Farm raised American pork is very clean and actually in some cases too lean.
The often quoted internal temp of 155+ 5 degrees of carry-over will result in an overcooked dry product.
So until the USDA changes their recommendations to reflect reality , you will need to sauce it.

As long as you cook it properly to bake, fry or BBQ any parasites, it's good for you. You can make all kinds of good dishes like Sweet & Sour Pork with green peppers and onions with pinaples on rice, Roast Pork with mashed potatoes, carrots, and beats with gravy made from pork fat mariqua, and Ham with scalloped potatoes, cabbage, and corn, and so on! Don't forget special wine sauce or apple sauce to go with that roast pork. Pork sparibs in rub on the BBQ are delicious too! There's also pork ribs or roast with garlic cloves chopped and forced into the meat while it bakes to give you extra flavour, and so on!

Pork is so lean and clean anymore that it's just about as healthy as chicken. It really is the new white meat. Which is too bad. We already had a bland white meat that is easy to overcook.

YES! It has a lot of fat and takes approximately four days to digest. And if you fry it, makes it 10 times wrost.

No, unless you eat it every day. That is bad and you can die from it.
