What is a nice slow but challenging piece ( for a 13 year old flautist {flutist} in terms of the 8th grade) that is flowing and emotional just becuse that is my style! It doesn't have to be to slow but Slower in tempo would be good! Thank you!

How about Eine Kleine Nachtmusik by Mozart? It can lend it self easily to showing a difference in various octaves --- and if you're feeling confident at the audition ( remember to take a couple of deep breaths ahead of time - great to relax you and great for breath control), you can always improvise a wee bit to show your ability to "play outside the box." It's flowing and can emphasize your style ... flowing and emotional. ;-) Good luck! And have remember to have fun!

Check out Claude Bollings "Jazz Suite for Flute and Piano"

It has several challenging sections and it would be a refreshing alternative.

Good luck! My daughter is trying out for violin.
