I justify my position by I have a testimony of several occasions where I KNOW God is in my life and he exists. So I guess i do not have faith anymore because to me it is FACT. I'm sorry you do not have those experiences to open your mind to the possibilities of what God can do for you and your life.
I will share one.
My wife and I ran into some problems after 10 years of marriage. One day we were justified in our anger towards each other. We were just yelling and hurting each other with words and we could not stop. When one is in that much pain and anger unfortunately it came out in front of our kids. My son was about three years old. He could not speak very well at all. Never in a sentence and he would always leave the first letter off of every word he would try to say. He would call my daughter Katie " aie" and that was the best he could do. When our rage against each other was going on he yelled out " STOP IT! GOD IS IN YOUR HEARTS!" My wife and I turned our heads in amazement. There is NO WAY he came up with that on his own and we knew it. He also never talked about God before either. We had goose bumps all over and all our anger was washed away. We sat down at the table and soaked in the experience.
No non believer can strip that day or others I have away from me. For me and my house we will serve the Lord.

For me, it is illogical to believe that the universe just popped into existence. I know other people don't agree, and that's just fine, you asked me to justfy MY position, not someone else's. Given, then, that a couple of bits of matter did not just appear from nothing, bump into one another in the middle of nowhere, and BLAM, a universe sprang into being...which, by the way, is everything-that-exists, and yet, seems to be expanding...into nothing, I guess...well, there has to be some other explanation. The best explanation seems to be the "Intelligent Designer" explanation...again, this works for me. If it doesn't work for you, that's fine.
Next, WHICH "Intelligent Designer"? Of course, I'd been taught about the Christian God since childhood, so I suppose I had a bit of a predilection to go with what I knew, but I grew up in the sixties, when relligions were to be had for a penny a piece...indeed, if you didn't like this one, someone could and would invent a new one for you at the drop of the proverbial hat. It seemed to me, after alot of reading and contemplating, that there was a similar theme in most of these "religions". Yeah, we all know how universal the flood story is, but have you ever noticed how many dying and ever-living saviors there have been? How could that be? Unless.....
Well, my little mind decided that it must be so, but maybe there is actually more to it than even Christianity knows. I believe in my heart of hearts that "the fall" was a cosmic event....hence, entropy. And I believe, as well, that "redemption" was also a "cosmic event". Not only this world, but the entire universe will be re-built, this time, no entropy, no destruction...no DEATH!!
OH, my tenth grade biology teacher (I had a HUGE crush on him, he was such a CUTIE!) had alot to do with my epiphany, when he explained to the class that energy, while it can change form, can not be created, or destroyed. Sooo...went my little mind...what is life, then, if it is not energy? Then...life cannot be created...at least not by other than God, Who is not Energy Himself, but rather something greater...the Source of all Energy...nor can it be destroyed. If it cannot be destroyed, but only change it's form, something happens to it....
Well, you see what I'm getting at, I'm sure.
God bless you.

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints.
There was an apostasy(the dark ages). Fulness of the Gospel of Christ had been removed from the earth along with the authority to act in Jesus' name. It has been restored again, through Christ and Heavenly Father.
I have felt God's love in my life, I have received a witness of the Holy Spirit and I have reaped the blessings promised in God's restored word.
I have witnessed miracles. My family lives the teachings of the gospel and we are richly blessed with peace, joy and love in our lives.

I don't feel that I have to justify my position, it's personal. No one else's business really.

I don't. I don't think I'm compelled to justify it at all.
Completely off the subject: I've often been called "Conan the Grammarian" so your name intrigues me. Are you, indeed, a Grammar Nazi? If so, my hat's off to you!

religion is unprovable mythology.
i justify that position, because it's the truth.
anything else is merely supposition, nad mindless whacks runing around saying "my cult is the right one, and yours isn't, because my BuyBull says so."
