I have a passion for flying my hang glider. I also have a passion for playing the piano, for appreciating the genius of say, Debussy, in a piece that I spend some time learning. I have a passion for the mountains in that I love to take a backpack with sleeping bag and tent and hike into the wilderness. I have a passion for wild creatures that dare come close, like a deer that is unafraid or a bird far from civilization that lands on my hand when lured with a piece of bread. In other words, a passion for discovering that these things do happen out in the wild, far away from civilization.

i have a passion for Ballet/Jazz Dancing. it's something that i have done since the tinder age of 6. so i think i can say that it is a passion. it's weird. when i listen to music, i can see choreography in my head. i can impulse dance a set of two 16 counts and everything will flow. i can see partners or lifts that most people wouldn't place in that particular dance. it's like living in the music.
i have also realized that when i don't dance, it hurts. not physically, but emotionally. i miss the stage, i miss looking out into the darkness knowing that there's an audience. i miss the smell of the stage lights, or running across the backdrop to get to the other side. i miss the tedious stacked on make-up or the little steps in between a turn to make a develope (french term to extend the leg) into a graceful flow.
it's a way of life. as I'm sure you have a passion. It's a way of life. chase your passion for all it's worth, just as long as it doesn't harm yourself or others.
