I've heard Hell described as being a place or state of being which is totally separated from God. I have no idea if the whole hellfire and brimstone bit is accurate or not, so let's just talk about Hell being a separation from God.

God gave people free will because He would otherwise just have a bunch of puppets on His hands, and that would be about as interesting as becoming best friends with your ventriloquist dummy. One of the basic features of free will is that people can choose to try to get close to God or to cut themselves off from Him. Cutting oneself off from God unsurprisingly leaves oneself in a state of separation from God, which, from the definition above, is Hell. Dying in that state of separation turns it into an eternal state of Hell.

It's not that God sends anyone to Hell; it's that people choose to go there themselves. Sure, God could prevent that, but it would mean taking away free will from people, and that is something that God does not seem to want to do.

Hell is not eternal. The bibles which say that are translated wrong. The original Greek says' " aionios" an adjective meaning of the "aion" or age. So the lake of fire is to be called age lasting, indicating for a fixed period of time. It is completely wrong to translate that as "forever" which obviously means something different in English. Hell is not eternal, but temporary. When everyone has been "salted with fire" as Jesus said, they will then live with God. All will be saved....

.... For as in Adam, ALL die, so also in Christ, ALL will be made alive. 1 Corinth 15:22

That's the thing....God DOESN'T want anyone to go to hell. That's why He sent His Son, Jesus, to die for all of us and not just some of us. God put everything out in the open and said "Take it or leave it. It's your choice." If someone decides not to follow Him, and take Him up on His offer....that all He has to do is believe in Christ Jesus (John 3:16) and He'll be saved, then it was their own fault. You don't just go to Heaven or hell...you choose it.

God bless.

God doesn't want anyone to go the hell, that is the reason he sent Jesus to die for us on the cross.

Ask God for a revelation of his justice and how bad sin actually is. He wants everyone to be saved, according to the Bible. Unfortunately, not everyone will accept salvation.

Hopefully this will help

Divine condemnation in the NT. The NT reminds us that Jesus did not enter our world to condemn us. He came because humanity was already condemned (Jn 3:17-18; Ro 5:15-16). Those who fail to respond to God's Word are in a state of condemnation (Jn 3:36; 12:48).

Jesus came to save the world. His success is reflected in assertions such as this: "There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus" (Ro 8:1). Because of Jesus, God's attitude toward believers is not one of condemnation. What God still condemns is the sin in sinners (Ro 8:3). We who respond to the gospel message in faith have the assurance that no one can successfully charge us. Jesus, "at the right hand of God," is "also interceding for us" (Ro 8:34).

4. Condemning ourselves and others. Those who remain outside the circle of God's grace by their refusal to respond to the gospel (Jn 3:18; 5:24) stand condemned; they are under judgment for their sinful actions (Mt 12:41-42; Jn 5:29; 12:48). But we who have trusted Christ have passed beyond condemnation (Ro 8:1). God views us as being in his Son, and no charge can be lodged against us. Yet two important truths are taught in the Scriptures about believers and condemnation. First, we are to be careful to do what is right so that our consciences will not condemn us for actions we believe are wrong (Ro 14:22; 1 Jn 3:20-21). And second, we are not to condemn our fellow believers (Ro 14:3)

Theologically, condemnation can be avoided only by trusting in Jesus, who bears our sin and thus removes us from the position of prisoners before the bar of divine justice. Psychologically, we are to recognize the freedom from condemnation that Jesus brings us and learn to live as forgiven men and women. Released from this burden ourselves, we are to bring the gospel to others so that they may be freed as well.

Imagine going into a court room and you are on trial for DEATH!!! would a GOOD judge let you off the hook saying no its okay! No, but he gave us a way out someone to take that all on Himself. His son. Okay another way to think of it...

We are beings made to be WIth God. A God who is perfect, holy, just, He IS Life!!! He is just awesome. His laws are perfect too, cause He made the universe to be a certain way. But when one breaks one of His laws in the slightest ways WE are NO longer in LIFE!!! We are IN death!!!!We are in a place where God is not. Without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sins. We can not get back into God's circle without someone dieing. Either us or Jesus Christ. He is not someone who says YOU go to Hell. He wants us to be with Him forever, but we (insignificant in God's glory and power) can NoT be in His presence after death with sin still on us.

Hope that Helps : )

You must don't read the news. Someone left their babies in a Mercedes to cook alive. Someone lined her children up and drowned them 1 by 1. Someone got mad at their boyfriend and microwaved their child(it died I think). Look at all the child abductions/murders..

By your comparison, you're saying we are more righteous than God and this is far from the truth. Trust me, God is smarter than we are and He knows what He's doing.
