Believes that He is who He says that He is, that He did what He said He did, and that He will do what He said He would do.
Believe that He is the one true God, that Jesus is His son, came to earth to die for man, was raised and sits at the right hand of God.

I am wondering just where you are at in the Word of God that you do not understand this verse?
To believe in God's only begotten Son is to accept His Saviour Jesus Christ as payment for sin.

It means believes enough to obey.
If you live in Denver, and you are told that on April 1 there is going to be a catatrophic earthquake that will destroy most of the city; if you believe the report, you will not be in the City of Denver when April 1 arrives.
If you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, you will obey Him.

It could be translated "believes on Him". If anyone believes the gospel account that Jesus is God's Son who was sent to pay our sin debt by living a sin free life and offering Himself as an atoning sacrifice for us. If anyone trusts in God's sacrifice that He provided for us for our salvation and not on their own self righteousness they will be saved.

Has faith. Christianity is based on faith...believing in what you cannot see. i know that sounds so silly to some, but when you think about it there is SO MUCH that you cannot see that you know is there...like the wind. Or cells. Or love. Whoever has faith in God and believes the sacrifice Jesus made for us is saved. Best wishes!

The Bible says that to every man is given a measure of faith. Some put their faith in money,other gods etc. When I believe in the truth that Jesus paid for my sins by his death on the cross, and take hold of this fact personally for myself, I believe in him. I then ask him to forgive my sins and be my God.

Belief is an active verb. It is demonstrated by how one lives. Just saying one believes is not the kind of "belief" that saves. How we live demonstrates what we truly "believe."
"If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is LORD and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved."

Trust without a doubt that He and only He is the One that will get you to Heaven, nothing you do, nothing your parents do , your church or anyone else. Just trust in Him(Jesus)

It means a bit more actually. You have to belong to Jesus, trust in Him, Live for Him. Satan believes "in" Jesus and fears Him.
