I want to get my hair straight myself, without going to a hairdresser if I can't do it myself then I will go to my hairdresser. What can you advise that I can use on my hair to get it straight, I hate having curly hair. I use gel to keep my hair straight day and night it helps somewhat but it's the ends of my hair that are still curly. Any good advice would help please.

I suggest you buy a flat iron ceramic prefer, wash your hair with a straighting shampoo and conditioner, blow dry, apply straighting gel before straighting.

But your hair in layers from under neath your hair to top, it takes a while depending on how much hair you have but its worth it.

Your hair will look really nice.

Good luck your beautifully

Everybody who is telling you to put gel then to flat iron and then to put more gel is wrong! I am Puerto Rican and have curly hair myself. If you do what they advised you, your hair will get dry and damaged. What you want to do is: put your hair in rollers and get under the dryer for the amount of time that is adequet for your hair length. Then when you take out one roller immediately flat iron it (perferable ceramic). You do it one by one until you have done all of your hair. After you did it all of it you can touch it up to your liking. You can also put a smoothing cream on it (Matrix has a good smoothing cream).

You know I didn't make my avatar have curly hair for no reason! LOL - - Hope my answer helps you!

there are straightning products to prep your hair. i would suggest either blowing it out straight or getting a ceramic flat-iron. cermaic is good - causes less damge. your hair is naturally curly, so u could also get a straightening treatment at a salon.
