Was I Wrong or Right? Who should the conversation?

Question

I suspect that the guy I sort of have a crush on knows that I have a crush on him.
Ok today as I was headed to one of my classes I happened to spot a guy that I sort of have a crush on and my friend was walking by me. Well, anyway I told my friend to pretend like we did not see/notice him at all and so we did just as he passed. Well, my friend said that it looked like he looked at us before passing by us but looked quickly away.
Well, neither him or I said or looked at each other when we passed by each other. Like total strangers or whatever.
It just hurt my feelings that he totally did that to me too. I mean I thought that he would say hi or something since we do know each other and have to each other many times. Like ok. I think that most likely he does not feel the same about me romantic wise? Obviously, by him not saying hi to me either he must be thinking something bad about me right?
I just did not say hi thinking that maybe he will initiate a conversation or something.

To add: This is not like a high school issue either. Im in college already.

Ok, yeah I am in college, but I think everyone participates in this type of silent behavior at any point. Well, anyway I forgot to add
that if I see the guy again should I look over and just smile kindly or say hey?

you say your not in highschool but you act that way grow up make the move we are in the year 2007 not in the neolithic era unless you want him to drag you buy the hair to his cave

I don't think that you shoud shame on him, because you did the same thing!!
I think that you both have to cooperate for any relationship to work out.
