i went with naxa (sdat) from overstock.com and there 400w peak sound great onother iv had in my car is panasonic but i blew all the speakers and burnt the cd deck but i had them for like 6 years befor they started messing up

yeah , for the most part separates are the way to go for SQ,also keep in mind where the component set is going to be placed . The usual idea would also be to keep the tweeter within 8" of the mid woofer . there is really not a best brand ,but a few to check out would be JL audio,MB quart , focal, crystal mobile sound,Polk audio,or fusion car audio.
just a few sugg. there are alot of good brands out there.

most defininatly yes. Comps are really awesom. some brands i'd really recomend looking into are

Boston Acoustics
MB Quart
Diamond Audio
Poineer Premier
Kenwood Excelon

go listen to some 2-ways then listen to some comps. the differnce is clear.
