Why do people think they are so qualified to say they know who will go to hell... i.e. atheists, gays, or followers of another religion? Did God tell you, because if not, then who are you to say who goes?

It is truly sad that there are people now still trying to say they know who is going to hell. I believe GOD and ONLY GOD knows who is going to hell (and i don't believe in predestination) because only He knows all there is to know about us, and it would be unwise to think you are capable of making such an assessment of someone's soul whoever you are.

Anyone can have their say on the matter, Marty... It's just a game of nonsense anyhow. Wanna play?

The game is officially called "It's My Turn to Judge" and the object of the game is to put as many of the most retarded opinions into gods mouth as you can during the course of your lifetime. High scorers can win a chance to become an ordained preacher or the Pope or they could even become the next prophet of god like Mohammad did. ...LOL

Marty, probably because they want us to join them in their religion the same way they ended joining other Christians: through Fear!!

There is no hell. I am sorry to disappoint all Christians, but there is no hell and no heaven. Not the heaven most people believe, with angels and clouds. We are all going to the same place, where we are going to meet our beloved ones, learn from the mistakes from past life, and be prepared to be born again. All of us!! Suicidal people are the only ones that don't go to this place.

It seems fair to me that we all receive the same treatment after death, and better yet, the same chance to correct what was vicious in our human nature.

My religion is Spiritism.

in answer to this hell does not have to be the way it is portrayed also the phrase you are going to hell or the idea of gong to hell is the one that is the most familiar with athiests and is common to use there are other ideas than this which involve peace or to do unto others as you would have them do to you . also there should be some sort of court for souls to determine who goes there this should not be a simple matter of this is where you will end up as it is not certain anyone will end up there as they could appeal the sending

It is not my job to determine which specific people are going to heaven. The Bible does tell us what we must do to be saved, however. Since I have studied and tested the Bible and have found it to be true and reliable, I trust the Bible as an authority in my life for all matters pertaining to living. The Bible clearly teaches that those who trust in the shed blood of Jesus for forgiveness of sins will go to be with Jesus in heaven; those who reject that sacrifice will be separated from God for eternity.

God told me so through his word.

You can tell, and they tell you if you ask. They either love Jesus or they don't and if you ask they tell you.
We do not decide who goes or doesn't, but we know the signs of someone that has his ticket and someone that doesn't..
You seem to think that it isn't written, because it is. When you are born again you are different and are headed for heaven. You can tell by how the people live and not just what they say.

Since only God knows the hearts of people, only He is qualified to judge.

That being said, Christians (and anyone who studies the word) can agree that it says WHOMEVER does not repent and follow Jesus is not a part of the kingdom. It's what the word says - there is no doubt about it.

k maybe I can 'splain better. I CAN't say who's going to hell because I am guilty of the same sin as everyone else. all I am qualified to do is identify sin, not fling accusations.

I'd like to know where they figure they can do that, myself. Unless your Pat Robertson (lol) and God actually talks back to you, how would you know? You can know the bible by heart, cover to cover, but to think that all of who and what God is and how He can be is all between the covers of that book, is a bit presumptuous to say the least.

You are right no one can know. Christians should be the most aware of this. When Christ was on the cross He said to the thief ' Today you shall be with me in paradise ' . That thief was saved right there. It can happen in an instant to anyone one anywhere, even right before they die.
