Sometimes. It can be the greatest fun. I have done things like roll up the carpet and lay down a blanket so we could have a rainy day picnic in the living room. And building a Christmas village with the kids out of cereal boxes and tape and colored tissue, etc.
It can be incredibly sweet, hugging a child and laying him down into his bed at night. Kissing away boo boos. And accepting a gift the child made for you in school, when you aren't quite sure what it is.
It can be awfully frightening, when your child runs away and you don't know where he is. Or when your child is very sick and you're worried that it could be a serious illness.
It can be sad, when your child does not pass one of his classes and needs to repeat a grade in school. Or when you watch some other kid breaking your kid's heart by treating him mean.
It can be heartbreaking, when your child chooses a mate that you don't like. Or, if your child gets caught shoplifting, etc. Or when your child argues and tells you that he hates you because you enforce some rules he doesn't like.
It can be loving, and warm, and it can be a breeze. It can be the hardest thing you can ever do.
And there is nothing more worthwhile in the whole world.

At first i guess it is because you get to enjoy this new body in your home until the reality of knowing that that body is going to be in your home for 18 years. And you get to thinking about all the messes you will have to clean up. But other than that its great.

I certainly have in no way met a cougar warm or chilly in a bar, frequently drunken she monkeys, yet as for question i does no longer discriminate and do the two. i'm a bleeding liberal, and pleased with it.
