hi i'm 15 years old. so i've been bulimic for a while but i went to a treatment center. I'm a model and a ballarina and lets just say my mom is very involved. To tell you the truth she is the reason that i became bulimic in the first place. Telling me i was fat or making me only eat salads and stuff. She and my dad are divorced and have split custity. Well after my dad put me in the treatment center she wasn't very happy. Now that i'm out i've continued dancing and modeling but she's made me so depressed it seems like it's just back to the same rutine. when i went into the treatment center i was 5'9" and weighed 90 pounds yeah i know it's bad and they let me out when i had gotten to 110. now i've grown and inch and lost 10 pounds. but um... i don't know what to do... throwing up is my way of handleing her critisism. whats should i do?? should i talk to my dad??

Honestly i think that you should go to your dad and tell him whats going on but make him PROMISE you he wont take yo back to the center unless you ASK him too. And instead of getting upset and throwing up write poems or something to handle the stress or tell your mom how you feel about her pressuring you to eat salads and all of that.. tell her its to much for you to anwser when you are justt getting out of the hospital. ask her to stop telling you to loose weight or whatever is causing the pain TeLL HER i understand where you are coming from. well not the modeling part. but my mother calls me FAT all the time ( but i actually am chunky) so i know whweere that comes from. but when you are feeling like you want to go and throw up busy your self by doing something to help you not think about throwing up.

Talk to your dad and get back into treatment. Throwing up is no way to handle critcism or stress. You sound like you know there is a problem and just need outside help to solve it. Personally, your mother sounds like she needs help too and maybe while she's getting the help she needs you can live with your dad full time.

Wow thats tough. I'm a ballerina also and have had a battle with bulima (im winning so far :D) and aneroxia (won). Do you have a therapist? if not than you need to get one. Maybe you could live at your dad's house?

Ballet is very stressful on your body and without proper nutrition you could seriously hurt yourself. I passed out once in my ballet class and it is very embarrassing. Your dance teacher could help you, if you are close to her/him. Chances are that she had a problem like that when she was younger.

Try talking to somebody. Ignore your mother.
Good luck, best wishes.

:D

Of course you should talk to your father. This is your life! Don't let your moms criticism run you down. why is she so hard on you? Just ignore the bad remarks and be who you are. Let your mom be herself and just know thats who she is and that there is nothing that you can do to change that. Tell your father whats going! If you have to go back to the treatment center then go back. it might save your life.

You should get help immediately hun, before things spiral out of control again. I know how eating disorders are. You clearly know this can turn serious again (if it isn't already). the ED has come back again, I hate it. I am still recovering from anorexia.

You need to get help RIGHT NOW. Bulimia is a serious disorder and it can kill you. Move in with your dad if you have to. Good luck!

look in a mirror and ask yourself. do i want to become a woman or a corps. punishing yourself wont change your mother. be healthy for you not anyone else. even models need enough meat on their bones to hold up a dress.
