I catch him staring at me and smiling at the same time. he always talks to me and SMILES at me. he hugs me sometimes, but he hugs other girls right in front of me. i try not to notice but i do. i used to like him a lot but not as much anymore. we`re good friends. but i don't know. i'm still a little hung up on him...

How to Know if a Guy Likes You
Probably the best way to know if a guy likes you is to simply ask him, but we all know that can be a challenge. So, here are a few clues to working out if he likes you as much as you like him.
Steps
Examine his body language. If he likes you, you will see that his body position will lean forward toward you.
Keep close. Ever get the feeling that somebody is "in" your personal space - so much so that you want to step back? If he likes you, and you like him, neither of you will step back.
Notice his eye contact. If he likes you, he'll get it and hold it. Again, this can be uncomfortable if you don't like him or vice versa. You'll know if you feel like you have held eye contact just a fraction of a second longer than you would with anyone else, or if he looks away quickly.
Be aware of touching. He might put his hand on your arm when he laughs, or not move his leg if it happens to touch yours. This is a very good sign that he likes you.
Keep an eye out. His pupils will dilate (get bigger) if he likes you, but this is quite hard to pick up on, and you might look a bit weird looking that closely into his eyes.
Watch for him showing interest in things you like and do.
Joke freely. Does he laugh, even if you aren't funny?
Check for signs of nervousness: nervous laughter, sweaty palms, fidgeting, etc. Unless he's scared of public speaking and is about to make a presentation, it just might be that he's nervous about making an impression on someone he fancies (hopefully you).
Smile. A big smile in return probably means the feeling is mutual.
See if he always ends up in the same part of the room as you. Perhaps he keeps going out of his way to bump into you.
Pay attention to his friends. If they know he's interested in you, they might tease him subtly when you're around, hint to you that he likes you, or even try to find out if you like him. Also study their reactions to your presence. Do they smile? Do they turn to him? If so, then there's a good chance he really does like you.
Tips
Generally, think about how you act when you like someone, and look for those signs in others.
He might be shy and/or introverted. In these cases, you have to be especially gentle and patient.
Make sure the male in question is heterosexual. Some homosexual men are more comfortable showing affection toward female friends because they aren't worried about the friend thinking they are romantically interested. You could easily get the wrong idea.
Warnings
Beware of friendly, outgoing guys. You might think he likes you but he might be like that with everyone and not realize how it is making you feel about him and his intentions.
If he seems comfortable talking to you about other girls, he probably does not like you in "that way." Either that, or he is trying to make you jealous, which might mean that he likes you but doesn't reflect too well on his character.

Does he do anything else? If he makes eye contact with mostly you, let's say at a party or in a large group, then he may like you. And try testing your suspicions. Say, "I had the weirdest dream last night, you and I were going out" If he's totally repulsed I'd say he doesn't like you. But if he blushes and smiles he prolly likes you. DON'T though, I repeat DON'T ask this in front of alot of people. Do it in private so as not to embarass him.

That happens to me allot, when you think that guy likes you , you see him on other girls too. Like , I have a guy friend right now that's kinda doing the same thing. OK, sorry, lol.
Um, he's probably doing that to make you jealous, and, those are the signs of how a guy likes you, girl. I'm definite that this guy likes you. Just ask him.

To the girls I have crushes on, I walk by them and smile too ... either way, I too would hug girls infront of them for two reasons.. Maybe three. One, I'm showing the girl that she shouldn't care that I hug my friends, I wouldn't do it infront of you if I thought what I Was doing was wrong. Two - Maybe I want you to get a little possesive, a good way to flirt is maybe pretend like your attention is supposed to be all on me, show me that you want to be close to me even when others are around- and three - I want to see what your reaction would be, in general .. Guys don't like girls who ASSUME that they are doing something wrong. Duh I would do it infront of you if I thought it was wrong hehe.. but possesive and insecure girls are just way too much to handle! You have to learn that not all boys out there are out to ruin the world for you..
Infact.. some are out there to give you the world.. and that's when you learn to not be insecure, because once he gives you the world there's nothing he can give to any other girl.

I just like the spontaneity of all of it. Its blunt and will also be romantic even as. For example, while I used to be running on the library on my school campus, there used to be this man who slid over to the counter and informed me, "I am sorry that is going to sound relatively nuts, in view that you dont realize me, however I simply consider you're the prettiest lady I have ever obvious and I could relatively love to get to grasp you." Then we exchanged numbers. Sometimes subtlety will also be traumatic....principally if I realize correct off the bat I dont such as you the equal...simply get on with it purpose your simply losing a while if I dont such as you.

yha my best guy friend is doing the same exact thing. its SOOOOO annoying. i agree that he is probably trying to make u jealous and see your reactions to him hugging other girls. especially if he looks at you and searchs 4 a reaction while hes hugging them, thats a big sign. watch if he smirks when he hugs them and looks at u 2.

the only way to find out is to ask him if he likes you.... life is about taking chances, you wont get anywhere by wondering and not taking action.... the longer you wait to ask him, the longer its going to bug you... if you wait too long he may meet someone else..... if he doesnt like you then your answer will be solved, you have nothing to lose by finding out what he thinks.... if he doesnt like you then you know its time to look elsewhere.........good luck
