We used to have a big feral community, but not any more. We have coyote/wolf hybrids that come into the neighborhood at night and eat stray cats and any other animal that are outside. (some dogs too)

The number of stray cats in any community is because some people don't think their cats should be spayed or neutered. And some people think there's nothing wrong with letting their cats outside to roam, unchecked and unsupervised.
Responsible cat owners are not the problem. People who have cats but don't give a darn about what happens to them is the problem.

We have 2 stray cats that frequent under our house, my daughter feeds them when they're there. I'd like to catch them since one looked injured, but they're too skittish and we don't have a trap, nor is the local shelter willing to lend us one. I already have 14 other cats all fixed. Plus other animals totaling 72 now.
I do small animal rescues and got in 6 in the last week, 4 today alone. Stray cats or dogs are fairly unusual in my area. We took in the last dumped dog ourselves. 8 of our cats we have all were either dumped or found their way to us by other means.

Big time! I live in NYC and my neighborhood has a senior development (I think for low income seniors) where there are tons of cats. I've tried to help a few kittens from there, but the whole development is fenced in. I know alot of the seniors feed the cats, but don't let them inside and don't get them fixed etc. Its so sad to seem them huddled in the winter!

Yes. I think most places have a problem with stray cats. I am a cat lover, but when strays come into your house and spray, it's ridiculous.

I used to, I dont anymore thanks to my neighbor. His foster daughter's cat decided to claim my home and had 3 kittens. These cats reproduced and I ended up with 10 cats. Well, my neighbor, the original owner decided one day trap these cats and haul them out into the country, so... now, there are no more cats in the area I live in.

Nope. They are all sterilized, vaccinated and well managed. So no more unwanted kittens, fighting, or spraying. I know because I have TNR (trap-neuter-return) 5 colonies in my neighborhood and it has worked out great.

They are not a problem, they just sit at my door step talking to my kitties in that I have in my house. HAHA it's cute. They are too wild and skiddish for me to take them in. I would if I could. I feed them though.

No, we have coyote/wolf hybrids that come into town after dark and eat any small animals they can catch outdoors.
