Hi, I am a single full time dad thinking about getting out their and dating. Any advice, I have not been on a date for 2 years. Its almost scary even asking someone on a date. I have my 3 year old son to think about.

Well, I'm single too and what you're saying is the reason I try not to date men that has children because I like to spend alot of time with my guy and I would hate to take time away from the child, and for some strange reason, I get a little jealous of the guy and the kids, I feel left out and I wouldnt want to try to take the childs Mom place. But it maybe easier if you ask out the mail lady or the lady who works in the shop where you get you and your sons haircut, or the bank teller that always cash your check.....ask some one that you run into often and if she's always smiling when you come around ask her out.

be yourself, always be honest and allow for rejection to happen. It isn't good to be too needy or clingy and i'm not saying you are like that, but I am single myself and I have noticed that a few of the guys who are newly single and or are just getting back into the scene are sensitive. which can be a great thing, but also a downer. I wish you the best and there is a person out there for you! It will happen with someone you are friends with and trust...

So think about him. Dating should be the last thing on your mind. It's more important for you to focus on earning a living for the two of you.
