Sheraton at Poipu.

Hanalei and Princeville are gorgeous and would make a great place to stay but, in the winter it is wetter than the south shore.

Starwood Hotels runs both the Sheraton at Poipu and Princeville. See if you can book at one or the other and switch if the weather does not cooperate.

The Princeville is the best place to stay on the island. However, it is very expensive.

If either you or your spouse to be are employed by the Federal Government, then ask for the Federal Government Employee discount. It is a huge discount that makes the price reasonable.

I'm going to be staying at Ali'i Kai Condo's on the North Shore in a couple of weeks. I've never been there, but their website makes them look great. Plus, I hear the north side is more secluded than the south side and that would seem to be appealing for a honeymoon situation.

Princeville is lovely for honeymooners but it can be rainy.
Poipu is your best bet for dry.
I think it is alittle over priced and crowded though.
