i was ordered to pay restitution, pay fines and some other cost my fines totaled 150.00. i was told the company has already reveived money and my old company has wrote it off as a write off. i called county clerk and she told me i just had to pay the fines...and didnt see a restitution number how can i find this out so i can get off probation early

Ask about this with your probation officer. You may need something in writing from the county clerk's office, to verify, what you say.

Restitution is governed by the court. The only way to be realeased is to pay the fine. Once you due the court will issue you a release and you can give that to the Probation officer. The court doesn't care if they wrote it off or not. The bottom line is you have to pay to be free from the judgement and court order! There is no way around it

Your probation officer should be able to give you this figure.

It does not matter if a company "writes" it off, that is merely a tax issue, where a company gets tax credit for such loses. But that has no bearing on your respnsibility to pay it back.

Legally you need to consult your lawyer but morally, If you are religious in any way you should pay back all your debt and offenses and apoligize so that youmay be held blameless.

Ask yourself what is the higher way?
