"And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many. " Matthew 27:51-53

This is what "happened" after Jesus death on the cross. It is not in any other New Testament book or recorded anywhere in history. Im sure many people would have written about it. Things would be crazy with a bunch of undead holy men running around.
If it really did happen, who is to say the person the Apostles and Jesus family ran into 3 days later was not one of these zombie guys? Sure would explain why his followers and even his own mother did not recognize him.

So can we discredit the book of Matthew now? If its writer (we still don't know for sure because we don't have ANY orginal copies of the New Testament) got this wrong, is it reliable?
