the south beach diet where for the first couple of weeks you cut out ALL carbs . They give you a list of foods with carbs.....you would not belive how many things have carbs. so you cut out your carbs for phase one then for the next phase you slowly introduce your body to good carbs.....like 9 grain breads, whole grain pasta......etc. I did it once and it did work. I did feel lethargic and dizzy most of the time. And when I finally started eating again i just gained it all back.
