if you can get ucmj (unifor code of military justice) for a sunburn and the they call it destruction of govt property, what do you think they will do if you refuse to go to war. you should consider being a govt contractor. try lsi, haliburton, sikorski, stuff like that. you'll make a hella lot more money anyways

Yes, you can. There are no clauses for only children or first born sons to be kept out of combat.
By the way, you volunteer to go once you sign on the dotted line. Defense IS the military's business, after all.

Were you Drafted?
You signed up to be a soldier not a whiner.
I oppose the war, but as retired Army I gotta say you need a kick in the butt.
Obviously, the rhetorical question about you being drafted went right over your head. No one is Drafted
You signed up. Do your time and quit trying to find a way out.

Yes. When you sign up, you are volunteering your service to the United States. You are a professional soldier and are expected to perform the same duties as every other porfessional soldier regardless of your personal situations.

Once you sign the dotted line you are pretty much US property and they can do with you as they see fit.
You could of course wait for another Democrat President and then we will have a draft.

Yes and during WW2, first US soldier was awarded death sentence and executed for refusing to go to battlefront. Right now also there is another US soldier being held for the same charge for refusing to goto Iraq. He is willing to go to Afghanistan but this time the maximum sentence is not the death penalty.

When you sign on the dotted line your butt is theirs until your service time is up, which if you read the fine print, they may extend. They will put you where they feel you are needed, if you don't want to be up front then you need to specialise in some rear echelon skill.
