In California soda; when I lived in Pennsylvania it was pop.

Soda
Coke is a specific type of soft drink like sprite, or pepsi. People who call it this probally drink it a lot.
Pop is just old fashioned.

if it's coke, then i call it coke. otherwise, it's soda.
