We are waiting on to come and claim us now? After all there were two other Messiahs living in the time of Jesus that he had to beat out. Blaine has out did Christ in just about everything. I bealive he would have no trouble doing a trick to revive the dead and fool every one. Water to wine would be a cinch for David.

What made Jesus significant is that he performed miracles through God- He wasn't a magician or entertainer, He was the Messiah. I like David Blaine's stuff, but what he does is purely either a work of illusion or a work of telekinesis, maybe a mixture therof. David Blaine would have been an entertainer, as he is now, but he may well have been persecuted for some of his less explainable acts. As far as I know, he hasn't made any claim to holiness, and further, I don't see any chance of him rising from the dead to spread his message. Cool ****, though, cool ****.

Everything he has done can be proven. They have even been done by Chris Angel, another great street performer. That would make 2 Jesus's wouldn't it. Anti-Christ? I think not. They are just skilled in what they do and what they do is find ways to make people believe in magic and to lift spirits.

actually - there were dozens if not hundreds of messiahs at or around Jesus' time.... and if David had been living then, and promoted himself as such, he probably would have had followers.
But the fact remains, there is only ONE messiah - Jesus himself.

That's an interesting comparison...but yoru thinking is flawed any crazy evangelical kook christian will tell you that his magic is evil. Just look above my post for the necessary proof someone is already praying for you, enough said

I do. If people could provide more evidence other than the bible(maybe roman or greek writtings about him) about jesus' miracles that would be really nice.
