Guilty!! We have all done it once or twice answering the door
or the phone. By using a thick pan and not more than a med-
low fire you can prevent witchcraft in the kitchen. The worse
thing you can do is stir the black burnt stuff into the good part,
pour in bowls and expect it to be eaten! Gives me a troll tummy
ache thinkin' 'bout it!

Yes you can. If you find you are scraping tomato soup skin off the bottom of the pan then you have probably already scalded or burned it.

Of course it is! You can scald it if the burner is on too hot.
And, if you are making cream of tomato soup, it is even easier to burn!

Yes. If you let it stick to the bottom of the pan then stir it, it will mix the burned in with the rest.
