I just bought a car off of autotrader.com for a lot less money than I would spend anywhere else. I managed to save a few thousand dollars and spent about $200 in gas and hotels to go pick it up. Plus, going through autotrader you can find the exact car you want without even getting annoyed by them stinkin salesmen at the dealership. Just ask for more pictures if they don't have them. That's what I did and communicated through e-mail. I couldn't be more satisfied with my car. It's perfect. Good luck!

If you know what you are doing, you can try Ebay. My husband is a mechanic so he knows what to look for, to see if the car is a good deal or not. I bought my '94 mustang gt convertible, low mileage, for cheap on ebay, I didn't have to finance it at all. However, if I would have gone to a dealership or a shop, I doubt that I would have gotten such a good deal.
I really recommend it if you know what to look for. However, if you do not know what to look for, then don't do it; go elsewhere like carmax.

Check your local newspaper for auctions; there are quite a few bargains out there (just be sure you bring a mechanic to check it out before bidding). My dad once got a real bargain on a Ford that was auctioned as an ex-rental car.

i own a shop ,and try looking in your local auto trader ,they always have some pretty cheap ones in there, and not all of them will be junk either, but that would be a good close place to find one,and probably the cheapest also, good luck hope you find one.
