It wont run if you don't have a black outline. The tattoo will look like it was painted on your skin... not watercolor runny...
Here are some pictures with no outline...

No it will not bleed without it and no you don't HAVE to have an outline. If you don't like black how about another color? It makes it easier. When you get the tattoo, they do a transfer onto your skin and usually do the outline first so they have a guide to fill in(kind of like a coloring book) . Without that it is a little more difficult and possibly more expensive. But that being said, it is your body and your art. Do it however you want. But rest assured, the outline has nothing to do with keeping things from being blurry. There will not be a definitive line, but that isn't necessarily mean blurry and the colors NEVER run. As you get older tat's tend to fade a bit anyway. I have had mine for over 20 years and they still look good:) Just make sure that you have a great artist.

The outline is there to help define the details of the artwork. Depending our your art, you may, or may not, need the outline. You may also be able to use a lighter color if you do need an outline. The artist who you will have doing your work is a good resource for this info.

No way! my husband has a red tribal dragon on his forearm without a black outline and its great. Hes had it for almost 6 years now and it looks just as good as when he first got it done. Go to a diffrent artist.

ive never heard of that, and i know a bunch of tattoo artists. you dont need the outline. i know plenty of people who dont, and their tattoos look just fine. the ink stays where you put it. if it didnt dont you think the black outline would run as well?

Your tat is going to bleed (blood - not ink) no matter what colors you use. And, no you don't need any outline. The ink is being sent deep into your skin with a needle, it's not a painting.

i have a gorgeous hibiscus on my shoulder blade that has absolutely no black at all because i wanted it soft and feminine. the color did not bleed at all and it is not remotely watercolor looking. It actually looks kind of airbrused on.
