It only comes with Wordpad and Notepad. You will have buy Microsoft Word unless you already have a copy. =( sorry

Vista comes with Word pad and Note pad. Most have Microsoft Office 2007 but it is only a 60 day trial after that you have to buy it and it is like $150.

I think Office is not bundled with Windows but some manufacturers might install it for a little fee or sometimes free..

p.s. You can always use the free (And compatible with Office) OpenOffice suite (http://www.openoffice.org/).. It opens all Office files and has the new test format ODT (OpenDocument Text)..
