NO IT IS NOT.. thats too much of an age gap and besides the 34 yr old should know better. Stay away from trouble young lady and run as fast as you can the other direction. You are only looking for trouble. And besides I am sure your parents will not approve of what you are doing.

What are you thinking??? First off, can anyone say "statutory"? Secondly, the 34 y.o. must be crazy.
Now as far as the actual age difference, it is just too much at these ages. One is a CHILD for heaven's sake. Now at an older age, I don't see as much of a problem, for example a 30 year old dating a 47 year old. By the time you have gone through that much of life, things have evened out a little more. Not that they would be exactly at the same level, but a whole lot closer.
I say, honey, pick on someone your own age. And anyone over 18 stupid enough to date someone under 18 is just asking for trouble!!

When I was sixteen I was hopelessly in love with a 36 year old man. Now that I'm happily married with young children, I can't think what I saw in this guy and laugh about it. My hubby is my age and we have a million things in common....I sometimes wonder what this guy is doing these days....probably in jail....I think it was his "I know everything, bad guy" image that attracted me...but I grew up. And so will you.

unfortunatley in Usa this is taboo. in other countries that value family it is seen as a good thing that an accomplished man or older man wants to marry a young women. unfortunatly america is still in the dark ages about many things. I suggest if you date an older man make sure its for getting to know eachother and not sex related. stay a virgin until marriage. and make sure he knows that.

never! that's a seventeen year age difference! and that means the guy is technically old enough to be your dad. I don't think it's a good idea at all. a man who's thirty-four years old should never be looking at a seventeen year old girl in a sexual way.
and think, in seventeen years, you will be thirty-four and he will be fifty-one! yuk!
find someone who's closer to your own age. it will be best for you in the long run.

try to date someone around your age. but it is not against the law to date someone older than you . the person is a bit to old for you.
