For she doted upon their paramours, whose flesh is as the flesh of a55es, and whose issue is like the issue of horses.

I could just hear the "bow chika bow wow" music playing in the background when I read it.

That little "bow chicka bow wow" made this question all worthwhile. But sorry, I don't know the answer offhand.

I used to think this was about Judah & later Ephraim Israel, however I now think it is about both & their restoration to The Land of Israel in the end times. Chpt 23 talks of 2 sisters Ohalah is Samaria & Ohalibah is Jersusalem and all that happened to them. Jer 3 also speaks of the same things & the idolatry of both Judah & Israel. Ezekkiel 34 speaks of ALL Israel being led astray by false shepherds only interested in their own needs & the coming of the good shepherd Messiah Yeshua to save the lost of Israel. John 10. Ohalah was captured & taken to Assyria, & Ohalibah was taken to Babylon. This fits the dispersing of all 12 tribes of Israel. Ezra & Nehemiah record who returned of Judah to build the 2nd Temple, not all of Judah came back to Jerusalem. James/Ya'aqov starts his letter to the 12 Tribes scattered abroad. So Yeshua came for to save all Israel. Ezekiel is a prophecy of this return at different stages, Judah & Israel, possibly several fulfillments until all are back in the Land in chpt 48 which has not happened yet.

Ain t the Bible just grand? This is the story of two prostitutes told by the prophet Ezekiel. It s supposed to make people repent their lustful ways but to me it reads like a trashy paperback.

It is a passage about two adulterous prostituting sisters. The NIV translation reads.
20 There she lusted after her lovers, whose genitals were like those of donkeys and whose emission was like that of horses.
It is symbolism for God's people forsaking Him and lusting after other beliefs and idols. God was using His prophet Ezekiel to try to get the people to repent and turn back.

These sisters, Oholah and Oholibah are Samaria and Jerusalem respectively. They represent all that is pagan and how they have turned away from pure worship of our Creator, Yahweh God.
Basically, it sounds pretty much like what is going on in the world today.
