Allergies can cause the nasal passages and hence the ears to plug up. If they get to plugged or infected you will hear popping, cracks, gets dizzy, etc. Time to go see a doctor. Takes an antibiotic to clean up that kind of infection.

But popping can just be too much wax. Best to have doctor check it out before you try any home remedies like OTC ear wax remover drops.

I've always had a problem with my ears popping since I was a little girl. Finally, not knowing there was a connection I got some help with very bad allergies. I started giving myself allergy shots once a week and within months the popping in my ears was gone. What a blessing. Also gone was the yearly springtime ear infections. So yes, there are connections between ears popping and allergies.

I'm no doctor but i believe the answer is yes. it has something to do with how your sinuses deal with air presure inside your body. You know how when you go from a high altitude to a low altitude, such as in an airplane or driving over mountains, your ears pop? Thats becuase the air preasure changes with altitude. That presure difference can mess with blood flow to your brain, cuasing light-headedness and dizzyness. When your allergies act up, sometimes they cuase the same problems even when your not traveling. But again, i'm no doctor.
