Jog alot for sure. You need fast feet. My neibour boxes and he is recommend to do this by the pro that teaches him. 5 times a week for about an 1/2 hour or so or like an hour 3 times a week.

OK well first of all, if you have not been in a fight (and i mean a real one) you should probably get into one first. Make sure it's with someone your own size. If you don't like it, you probably shouldn't get into boxing, as they are fairly similar, and boxing equipment is very expensive. Second of all, get a heavy bag and hit it 1000 times a day. You will need to toughen up your hands and wrists, or you will be spraining things all over the place. If you can get past all this and you want to continue, join a gym. If you're broke, try the YMCA (if they still have rings). If you can spare the $$$ go to a boxing gym. Just make sure it;s a real boxing gym and not a MMA gym, or else the meathead wrestlers will just give you a hard time and tell you that boxing is for sissies.

Well im gonna tell you flat out coming from experience. I started boxing when i was 14 and im 18 now. Ive been a registered amateur boxer for 3years and have a 25wins-24KO- 0 loses rec. Im a female.. i wear heels, shoot pool, and skydive. So you gotta be tuf and you gotta be fast. Be confident and never doubt you can do it. You really dont need to do anything to get yourself started. Simply find a gym with dedicated coaches and trainers. Its gonna cost your pockets, but honey your 14 so ask your parents. And the'll only give a shyt about you as a boxer if you show that your not a quiter and you show focus. All the training youll need youll get right there in your gym. Then when you make up you mind after a brutal daily workout that you wanna fight. You tell them, and the'll train you to fight. The'll have you mainly focus on your endurance and your speed. ;) So go on find a gym and simply go. Youll need to buy wraps for your hands but most gyms sell those. Youll need a mouth guard when you begin sparring for practice for future fights. And youll need some good work out clothing and shoes.Check out everlast.com or ringside.com you can find some nice stuff. AND if your picky and dont want your hands smelling like azz after every workout then you might want to buy some boxing gloves for your own. That pretty much covers it! Best of luck to you.. knock em out!!

Read books on boxing. Spend alot of time at the local training facility and ask a lot of questions. Ask yourself "Can I really take a butt whipping?" Be honest with yourself because no matter how bad you think you are there will be someone out there who is bigger, stronger and faster than you. Be careful and good luck.
