WOW! I always kinda got the feeling that he was a little too "into himself", but I never really thought too much of it. I mean, its to be expected I guess. But after hearing this, if it is the truth, then I do agree with you 100%. Anyone that would intentionally hurt or disapoint a child is a complete jerk.

All you Tony Stewart lovers; cool the drama for a second. imagine if that was your kid getting turned down and crying because his "hero" refused. I cannot think of anything more mean spirited, self centered, and "forget where you came from" than that...and I'm a Tony Stewart fan!!!

Tony Stewart Jerk

I liked Stewart when he drove the white and orange Home Depot Pontiac and he was a budding star. But I have not liked Stewart since 2002 when he changed the orange and white paint to icky orange and black and since then I have not really liked Stewart. His complaints about aggression at Daytona, Goodyear tires, and other drivers, even down to the COT are inexcusable because he's the one that decided to go Cup racing and if he wants to complain he does not deserve to be in racing.
He also does not take accountability for his actions like here are some quotes from the mouth of Tony. 2006 Daytona:"He has no room to complain, he started it and I finshed it". 2006:All-Star Event
"If Kenseth thinks I wrecked him, then he's screwed up in his head".
Here's the ultimate gem
"There's a few guys out there who just don't get it. The problem is they have good racecars and they don't run up front long enough to learn how to race up front".
From these quotes and the thoughts above you Tony Stewart is a jerk. What helps Stewart get a pass from all these complaints is that he's sponsored by Home Depot the official Home Improvement Warehouse of NASCAR and he's a member of the Coca Cola Racing Family and he's a 2 time Cup Champion if it was anyone else complaining he said they'd be fined or parked. But to not give someone an autograph. To end I ask "Tony, what were you thinking?"

I have been in the pits and garage area for about a dozen races. Every time I have been there, I have seen Tony turn down everybody for autographs. He is one of those guys who will say on TV how much he appreciates his fans, but when he is out at the racetrack, he doesn't want anything to do with them. I once asked for his autograph and he told me, "sorry bud, I don't do that kind of work on Sunday". What a Jerk!!

I can't stand Tony Stewart! And after hearing that he is an even bigger a.s.s hole than I thought he was. Why would he do that to a little kid? aagghh...he makes me so mad. In my opinion Kasey Kahne is a better driver and a better person...
Go #9 woohoo

I don't believe your story. My friend, Becca, met Tony one time. She said that there was a long line of people that wanted to meet him, but the autograph session was almost over. But Tony decided to stay longer, so everyone could get something signed from him. She said Tony was NOT mean to anyone.

I think he comes off as a jerk sometimes definitly, but you have to respect him for being straightforward and always saying what's on his mind regardless of the consequenses. I think NASCAR could use more people on the track like him because he's a hard-nosed racer who would rather win the race than get points in the chase. And who can't respect that?

the great thing about tony is that he is who he is. he's a real person, and if you piss him off, hes gonna let you know. do we all agree with everything he does? no, and yes, he definitely shoud have signed the autograph for the kid, but he is a real person, and sometimes, people in the real life are jack-asses. so yes, i think hes a jerk, but thats one of the reasons hes one of my favorite racers, cuz he's real

I am a HUGE Stewart fan and will always be!!!! And it is not right for you to be judguing him and I doubt that he would do that cause Tony is very fan related at least to me when I met him for the third time at Atlanta Motor Speedway...he is a kind and generous man and I would love to meet him again!!!! And with all do respect it is not right for you to call him a jerk!!!!
