Your parents are 33 years old....
Which is totally scary to me. I have a 17 year old daughter, but I'm 44, and I think I'm too young to be her mother!!!

the age difference is 17 years...so your parents must be around 33.

are you talking about math wise or about maturity??
If you are talking about maturity, then odds are your parents weren't ready at 16 but they worked with what they had to in order to give you a good life. It was probably very hard and they don't want you to live that kind of life and worry about where your next meal or the meal for your child will come from.

That means you were born around 1990. If thats what u mean. But ur age difference.... would be sixteen/seventeen. It depends where u were born.
