Also, she messed up so bad but I didn't see it till I got home cause at the salon there was so much lighting it looked ok..now that I'm looking at my hair she left my roots Dark brown and its SOO UGLy! What can i do? Oh and also I got highlights about a year ago and it only cost me 60$ at the same place but different person. (Supercuts). Did i get wripped off?

i let my hair grow out completely since the last time i got highlights. She just didnt color the roots for some strange reason. oh and this time my hair was shoulder length and last time it was really long. When i told her the first time i was only charged 60$ she said that lady doesnt work there anymore and she wasnt allowed to give it to me for that cheap. =/

Um I think you did not only because she over charged you (they usually get about half of what they make anyway [50% commission]) but also because she didnt do that good of a job on your hair. Thats pathetic! I understand highlights arent easy for some stylists because I'm not comfortable with doing them either. First of all, Supercuts isnt that nice of a hair salon to be charging at a high price. That might be OK if it was one of those expensive salons. My dad goes to a private and nicer salon then that and pays less for his highlights (and he does unfortunately have shoulder length hair). The price was rediculous! And about your hair you can either call the salon you went to up and tell them about it and how unhappy and dissatisfied you are with them and maybe they'll give you something for your experience or you just deal with it or if you really cant stand it go somewhere else. Maybe to a haircuttery or a nice private owned salon. I work at a private salon and our prices arent bad at all so dont think that all those places are going to be expensive. You just have to call around and simply tell them what happened and ask for prices and stuff. I would tell the person whos gonna do your hair about the problem and your experience and maybe they'll tell you something you need to know and maybe they'll assure you that they're not going to be like that. Sometimes you gotta talk about the problem, call around and ask questions.

Yes You did. Go back with your recipt and show them in a calm voice. Trust me if you get mad it gets you know where. Explain the problem to them and see what they can do about it, make sure you are talking to a manger or something. Then when you need your hair cut agian you should try some different places. Remeber you hair will grow out so just keep trying till you find the perfect fit.

I don't think people realize just how many things can contribute to bad haircolor. Don't always blame the stylist, Especially if you have had color before. When highlighting over other permanent colors its very possible for your hair to lighten at different speeds in different sections. Which is also why it could cost you more if she had to correct what should not have happened. People need to take care of their own hair at home as well, Stylists are stylists, not magicians!

I don't think you did, but you should definetly go back if you are unhappy with your hair. Just try not to be really rude about it, just be honest and tell them you got the same thing done for $60 dollars. Was your hair longer this time, or maybe darker this time? There are lots of reasons it could've costed more.

I just checked into it a couple weeks ago for my daughter and that was the same price I got at supercuts here in Maine too. But if your roots are showing, you should go back right away so they can't say that it just grew out. they may have to do a do over for free. We did ours at home. no roots.

you got totally ripped off...I had this same thing happen to my friend (different store) as soon as she noticed she went right back. They were nice enough to fix it at no charge because the person was new and basically destroyed the color of her hair. I would personally go right back and show then exactly what you wanted and exactly what they did. Either ask for your money back or ask for them to redo it.

YEPPPPP YOU DID!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would just start new. A new base hair color, and get a highlighting kit. You will be able to choose where the highlights go and how many. And the color.
I am sooooo sorry.

you didn't technically get ripped off, but you should've demanded a refund or done something about it, like go back to her and complain and make them fix it for you. next time, go to a different place. you can always file a formal complaint too.
