no way! my childhood bff (let's call her Leslie [not her real name] for now) wore sorta dorky-looking glasses (even i admit they were ugly) but she rox @ soccer and basketball. no offense to some people out there, but i consider geeks to have glasses/braces AND to be total nerds/geniuses AND to be "not cool/popular". i know this becuz i was partially a geek (i am a nerdy bookworm), but i didn't have glasses/braces when i was a kid and i was the student council vp (i rock!). so, don't think u r (or ur friend) a geek becuz u r VERY athletic. braces and glasses don't matter - in my opinion, about half the people in the world have them! just be happy about urself, no matter what. =)

Geeks are popular smart people, braces and glasses don't make you a geek, that's stereotypical.

no way...if you have braces it means ur parents care about u and have the money to get ur teeth fixed...and if you have glasses...you can't see. If it really bothers you, get contacts, most kids these days have braces...I do...so just tell em off...be like well at least my parents can pay for braces...that'll show em...good luck

no, dont worry about labels. everyone goes through akward states in highschool/middle school/. he will gorw out of the braces. and if he wants he can wear contacts. they are easier for him if he does a lot of sports
