I would recommend push-ups, sit-ups, pull-ups and curls.
push-ups are great for your arms.
sit-ups are good for abs, but an even better style sit up is doing a hanging leg raise. You hang from a pull-up bar and pull your knees to your chest. Do this on your left side, center, and right side. Meaning pull your knees up on each side and center (both knees at the same time). This is more effective than a sit-up and you don't need to do as many. Of course they are harder too, but you will feel it after doing just 20.
Pull ups are great for your arms and back. At first it will be really hard and you probably can only complete 1-3. However don't be discouraged, just keep at it and eventually you can do 5-10. Once you get that high you can school most guys in pull-ups. Its hard for guys because it demonstrates a weight to power proportion.
Curls you can do with light weights if you are a girl. You can even use your stretchy rope by attaching it on the ground and pulling towards your body in a curl-up form. However free-weights is better than elastic.
You can buy a simple pull-up bar at a sports store and you can put it in your door-frame. It isn't permanent so you can take it off also.
Finally some good and easy leg workouts at home would be standing squats. you can do this with weights or not. Also lunges is another good one with weights.

Check out the basic exercises below. You'd be amazed at what simple push-ups, crunches, & pull-ups can do for a physique. You don't "stuff"...just dedication and patience. Good luck!

Your rope and ball is all you need if you are not trying to bulk up.
the best way to tone a body is with calisthenics.
