reasons to have a land line:
911 (this is not that reliable with most VoIP carriers right now)
alarm system central monitoring
ordering a pizza
calling in sick for work
(so people like me can have a job)
reasons to have VoIP:
cheaper than land phone,
free or reduced cost long distance and international calling
virtual area code
able to bring your local phone number with you when you travel (unless you have VoIP from your cable provider, and the adapter is part of the modem)
Reasons to have a cell phone:
car accident
flat tire
directions
tell your boss you are running late cause your stuck in traffic
stay in touch with your family while you are traveling

The only GOOD reason I can think of that it would be worth having a land line phone (if your cell is your primary phone) is if you have a security alarm system installed.
