ummm...
Jesus wasn't born in Jerusalem...he was born in Bethlehem, and was raised in Nazareth.
Maybe the artists that depicted Jesus as a white european were commissioned by white europeans, and didn't want to piss them off by painting an arab-looking Messiah.

properly technically you're fallacious, logically you're incorrect, even with the reality that stereotypically you're. enable's take it technically first. Jesus became once a Jew as each person is conscious, or maximum human beings do. And Jewish men and females are not quite middle Easterns. And once you seem at maximum Jews in the present day, a number of them have blond hair and blue eyes. Logically talking, if human beings in the present day nonetheless seem the equivalent with an same efficient factors than they did 2000 years in the past what does no longer be the prospect that Jesus became blond with blue eyes? no longer stereotypically this photo of him has been taken to describe an highly solid-searching guy interior the tactic that it matches Jesus because the son of God. I have never seen Jesus, and that i'm now no longer particular he became once defined interior the Bible yet will persons care about his photo or what he has executed for us, reminiscent of giving us the total get entry to to salvation by technique of way of having faith in him?

You should not come on here spouting off at "SOME WHITES".
Of course Jesus did not have blonde hair and blue eyes.
Nearly all people in Jerusalem today are people of colour.
And considering the man lived over 2000 years ago, his ethnicity, complexion and overall looks, really has nothing to do with the belief that people have in him. He is a spiritual being.

I think it's that people had a problem accepting that the man we call God, is a colored one. Throughout history, people have influenced the best looks being white, blue eyed, and blonde. The time of Hitlar, slavery, and even today. People find that beautiful and great. Maybe that's why they set God as being blonde and having blue eyes. Not all people see God as white, blonde, and blue eyed. Throughout the world people see him as different. If you are white, mostly likely you would want him to be like you and the same for any other person.

Hello. I am a white American who has been on earth for 49 years. I have never seen a picture of Jesus that was blonde and blue eyed. The one I have in my home show his as a dark man with dark hair so I am not quite sure where you saw pictures of blonde blue eyed Jesus.
Anyone who reads the Bible should be able to realize that he was not light.

Hello, Isaad:
I wasn't there so do not know His color, but Church historians discuss this. In the first century Gentile converts made colored pictures, engravings, and even two-hundred years later, a life-sized bronze statue with a woman touching His robe survived at the location in Ceasarea where she lived.
With God as his father, he may have not looked like a Jew--maybe had red eyes? but there is one surviving representation first made by Tiberius Ceasar.
Tiberius became a Christian, attempted to get the Roman Parliment to declare Him a god, and engraved Jesus' likeness on an emrald stone.
Although the emerald was lost in combat, copies were made and you can see it at: http://revelado.org/likeness.htm
Blessings:

I took an art history class last semester and when they first started making portraits of Jesus they weren't sure of what to make him look like, but since he was supposed to be like a wise teacher they used their portraits and statues of philosophers as a prototype. From there, the image of Jesus continued to evolve as being a European male. People who aren't ignorant should know that he was definitely a man of color, but that would be why the image of Jesus is how it is now.

Christ was a Jew, He probably looked like a "typical" Arab or Jew from that area does today. And his skin may, or may not have been dark, or darkened from the sun. He worked as a carpenter, if he had shade, and wore robes and a hood, then this skin may not have been all that dark.
In Asia, Christ is often portrayed with Asian features.
I've seen American Black portrayals with a 1970s Afro do.
So what....none of it bothers me, I think this is just stirring the shi*t pot.
But, where did you get "hair coarse like Wood, Skin Dark like the sand ??? " Did you make that up, I don't think it's Biblical

According to the Bible, we aren't to make or worship images. Jesus even said to worship his father. That's why the Bible doesn't mention the exact shade of brown Jesus skin might have been, because it doesn't matter. Jesus is a spirit creature now, with no skin "colour" - in fact, he doesn't even have a specific "sex" as a spirit creature, so it's misleading to call him "him". It's just an easy way to picture it.

Of course he was he was Jewish and you are correct in stating this brave soul. The pics that we see today are the pics that were created through the eyes of nazi germany. Honest, check your history - people hang the Aryan Jesus on their walls every single day. This was a portrayal that started in Germany. You have the best question of the day!!!!:)
