when you look at the photo of the hand holding the ring, you can see a clock in the background, and you can make out that the big hand is pointing to 35 minutes...the small hand points to 3

In the photo you pick up from the corner, there's a clock in the backround, and the time shown is 3:35.
Note that the hour hand must be a little below the 3, even though it doesn't look that way in the photo. Keep moving the hour hand slightly down until something slides out of the left side of the watch; that will give you a small key.
