Keep it in ice and keep a finger cast on it- you can get a fair one at walmart.. Don't think that's since it feels fine that you can use it again... wait about a week to make sure that it has completely healed.

I had one of those once and it was in a karate class and the teacher pulled on it to "fix" it. It is now permanently slightly crooked with a slightly larger knuckle....not sure if it would be any different if he had not pulled on it or not...

I would say you could splint it with a finger splint from a pharmacy or with a popsicle stick and some tape....to protect it until it heals...

They say surgery to fix it would only make the deformity more noticable....
