Overall - Yes; most guys love dating younger girls.
In your case - No.
One thing you need to realize when considering your situation is the level of "interaction" the two of you can have. As much as I hate to say it, guys are pretty shallow (in the sense that they will only date a girl if they can get something good out of it). Obviously, there are exceptions to this stereotype, however pay attention to what you CAN do - and what he can do.
This guy is currently legally capable of smoking, drinking, and staying out beyond the state-mandated curfue (2 AM in my area). In contrast, you are not able to do any of those things legally. Therefore, this guy will have to be willing to date a girl whom he cannot take to a bar on Friday night, keep her out past curfue, or engage in sexual intercourse with her (which most guys prefer to do).
Granted, there are some guys out there who would not mind giving up all of these privilages for the sake of dating a girl; it is simply my opinion, however, that this guy would not enjoy the concept very much.
Now, to answer your original question: if the situation were somewhat different (and you were 23 instead of 17), dating a guy eight years older than you would not be too much of a problem - and this guy would probably love to date you.
Hope this helps!

Well I just got out of something a girl that was 18 and im 25.. Lol
To be honest, there is a huge maturity difference between someone that is 25 and some that is your age.. Experience is lacking and usually it tends to be more physical then anything else.... If I were you.. avoid it.. until you get out of H.S then see where it leads..

NO. do no longer ask her out. you at the instant are not mature adequate to have a relationship with a 17 365 days previous female. If for some unusual reason she started relationship you, in a 365 days while she turns 18, it would be against the regulation and he or she might desire to get in genuine concern. might you % that for her? i might additionally might desire to end that there is something incorrect together with her to be relationship a 13 365 days previous. you will possibly be able to think of you act like a 17 365 days previous yet you do no longer. 17 365 days previous adult adult males %. up their dates in a vehicle no longer a bicycle. So till you stress illegally, you do no longer act 17. i do no longer propose to disappoint you yet teenagers right this moment assume honesty from adults. follow females your very own age and that i assure you have got extra in consumer-friendly.

honey i hate to break it to you, but a 25 year old and a 17-18 year old are on 2 COMPLETELY different stages in life and on 2 different levels.. what you are feeling is normal because girls always want an older guy, but trust me, you will end up getting hurt and he will end up wanting something you cant give him right now because you are not mature enough and i dont mean to offend you at all but its the truth i experianced first hand.

Let me put it simply....NO. I made the mistake of dating guys who were entirely to old for me at about your age.
As much as you'd like to believe it can workout....usually guys that much older are on a different maturity level, one that you do not need to understand quite yet. If you're both equally mature/immature....that is not a good sign either.
For the most part, unfortunately, if guys that age are looking for girls your age, they do not have the best of intentions. I hope you will make a wiser choice than I did and spare yourself the heartache.

Younger is O.K. within reason.5 years difference is about max with me.Anymore than that,it starts to become creepy. He is way to old for you. He shouldn't even be considering dating you.Nothing is wrong with you,but he should know better.
