We just layed ceramic tile in my parents' kitchen and after the grout was down, it sank into all of the the tiny cracks and pores of the style of tile that we picked. We have washed and washed and washed, but no luck, any ideas?

I agree with the first answer. But the acid works quickly ( usually within 10 - 15 minutes) and that means you have to work faster. Faster is not always better, Safer is better.

I have used this product and recommend it for the very situation that you have.

with rubber gloves and safety glasses you can use muratic acid--sponge it on wipe it clean with fresh water a few times or it may be a bit hot on bare feet-it wont harm the tile but it dissolves grout in a hurry -also keep it out of the grout lines.
muratic acid is available at home centers or pool supplys for around 2.00 gal
