Try these

First 3, Last 3: Description:
- The first three hurdles and the last three hurdles are setup on the marks. The race distance is run using these hurdle settings.

First 6: Description:
- The first six hurdles are setup on the marks. The first six hurdle are then ran at race pace to build rhythm.

Last 3: Description:
- The last three hurdles are setup on the marks, this is used for hurdle training Run 3 to 5 of these to build strength.

You know that running the hurdles is different than running a flat race. You need to keep your stride pattern so you can hit the hurdles on stride. If you are dead tired before the 8th hurdle then you need some stress intervals. Try running over 8 hurdles and then complete a 350, that is, you run 350 meters over 8 hurdles. You can also run different parts of the race. Run the first 3, walk to 5, the run from 5 go over 6-8 to the finish. Run 200m over the last 6 hurdles, starting at 2 run over 3-8 to the finish. You can do many things to get fatigued as you are in the race so you can work on staying relaxed, maintaining your stride pattern, and keeping good hurdle form. I think this race is easier than the flat 400m, so you should do the work of the 400m people along with hurdle work to gain hurdle skill. It is important to attack the first hurdle, do not try to save something for the finish. Just like the 400 meter race you can not be timid you must run the first part of the race hard.

I also run the 300 hurdles. I, however, dont have as much of a problem, I still lose alot of energy, but Im not completely dead. I think it has something to do with my 3 years of cross country. Like the above people said, ladder it, build up. It wont happen right away, build up your endurance.

I'm about your height and weight and I also run the 300H. My time is about 44.2 but i do know how to get better. Im pretty sure you know what a ladder for the hurldes is (when you run the 300 with 2, then 4, then 6, then 8 hurldes). Now do what my coach has us do: run the full 400 to build up endurance. you can either start at the 400 start or finish the last 100 at the end of the 300. this is a hard workout but it will build up endurance for those last couple of hurdles.

hope you do well this season

I'm in my third year of track this year, and I've never done anything more than the 200m sprint competitively, though I know how you can fix your problem. You're not going to like this, but the only thing you can do is intense conditioning. I mean you need to run a lot. For you I think 5-7 400m sprints with a 7 minute break in between them, but make sure you stay fresh and keep moving while on your 7 minute break, maybe walk a lap while you catch your breath. 400 meters is the minimum you should train at.
