You can't do it healthily. I really don't think losing that much, that fast is possible. Unless he was not eating at all and then doing Tae Bo. Very unhealthy! It's healthy to lose 2lbs a week, give or take on or two lbs. Any more than that is unhealthy dieting and excercising. Hope that helps!

If they lost the weight that fast, chances are that they will gain it all back really fast because they didnt do it in a healthy fashion. It might be possible to lost that much that fast, but chances are it wasnt from doing tae bo, it was more than likely from something else because you should only lost around 2 pounds per week not 10.

If he did tae Bo for every day for at least 2-3 hours day and extensive dieting
He possibly could lose up to 30 pounds .. most of it would be lean muscle

Of couse it was a family member that seconded that thought. Your friend DID NOT and I repeat DID NOT lose 30 pounds in 3 weeks. Try strict atkins. (no carbs) it works.

Be careful, taebo can be quite strenuous on the knees especially. Don't do anything risky, but certainly regular aerobic exercise with 30 of the correct heart rate would do wonders.

I wouldn't recommend it. at that rate you will most likely loose vital fluids and muscle. two-three pounds per week is safe and more likely to be permanent. Honey, you didn't gain it in 3 wks, so don't expect to loose it in 3. You would have to be 100's of lbs to expect that type of weight loss. Your doctor would probably tell you that it would even be too much of a shock to your system. Please consult a Doctor before trying to loss weight, especially that amount.

Most likely not true.
Even if he did, it wasn't a healthy loss and he'll have a greater chance to gain it all back, plus some!

A healthy weight loss is 1-2 pounds per week.

Yes, it's possible but not safe. It's not good for his heart. And I'm guessing that since he lost it so fast, he won't be able to keep it off very well.

But hey, kudos to him for being active and trying. I hope he continues to succeed and be healthy.

If you do a LOT less eating and are working out constantly then yeah. But it's not very healthy. Are you sure your friend wasnt doing drugs?
