Everyone here is right -- it just depends on what they're testing for. For insurance coverage (particularly life insurance), they do mouth swabs to test for the presence of nicotine in the tissues around the mouth. But no doubt they can test for it in the blood, too. However, I don't think it stays in the blood for too long, so consider quitting for a week or so before the test. That should be long enough to "fool" a blood/urine test.

Only if they test for them, but I do not know why they would unless your company has some sort of anti smoking policy that would count even when you weren't at work.

No, but marijuana and crack cocaine will. Steer clear of those for a couple days and you'll be fine.
