First - I hope to God that isn't your real social security number. Don't ever put information like that on the internet, you're just asking to get your identity stolen.
Second - The Army probably won't take you if you are diagnosed with bipolar disorder, regardless of how well-managed it is with medication. If you're deployed to a combat zone, there is not always a guarantee that you can get to your meds. There are a lot of medical conditions that would make you ineligible for military service, and I am pretty sure bipolar disorder is one of them.
Third - You're 27 years old, your dad can't make you do anything. If you really want to join, go see a recruiter yourself. If you get in, you won't need him to pay your bills because you will have a job.

You shouldn't have you social security number on this post.
That being said most of these people responding to you are douche bags. I don't think your allowed to have bipolar disorder and be in the military, but you should talk to a recruiter and be sure.
You sound like you really want to do this and if the bipolar disorder doesn't stop you you should go. All that being said your dad is only looking out for your best intrusts and you should'nt be mad at him for that.
Also 77 on the asvab is pretty good as most score in the low 40's and I know a couple people out of college who scored in the low 50's.
Whatever you do good luck.

27? Dad has your stuff? 77 ASVAB? Bi-Polar Disorder? Lithium?...and plus your lying about the bachelors degree. How the heck do you supposedly have a bachelors degree and have an ASVAB of 77?...HAHAHAHA!!! Dude...I'm afraid to say this, but you have an incurable disease known as STUPID! You should feel lucky that they don't revoke your grown-up license...ohhhh...that's right your dad already did. Have you considered Wal-Mart?

I seriously hope that this is a joke because if it's not you are really kind of sad. And there's no way they are going to let someone in who's on lithium. You ever seen someone come off lithium cold turkey? I have and trust me they do NOT want someone in there that's messed up enough to be on it. If you are being serious then you really need to realize that this is NOT the career path for you.

You are 27, grow up and meet with a recruiter. You are considered a legal adult. If you ask a recruiter about the lithium they will tell you if you can join.

Go Army but do not say you are bipolar. They are letting people stay in that are bipolar by giving them meds. Go into combat arms and become a veteran. You will need meds for the rest of your life so do something for your country while you can.

This is way to much personal info to pass over the PC! First delete your SS# and forget about the bipolar thing. Bipolar is an anxiety issue with highs and lows over depression and happiness.
You can join if you are physically fit, otherwise the cut off is usually 26-28 yrs old.

Are you trying to get your credit ruined and have your identity stolen? Get your SSN off the internet, ya loon.
You can't be bipolar and join the Army. Start listening to your dad, he's on to something here...
