Piercing your ears is fine... just ask permission from your parents/guardian. Also, if you're not really sure how they would look, pick up a pair of magnetic earings. Very easy to try... Wear them around for a few days. See how you like the look of them, the feel of them, etc. Then decide.

Its up to you and your parents. As a minor, they have to give you permission to get this done and must be present with you at the time you get the piercings. I would talk with them about it and see where you both stand on this choice.
Keep in mind that a piercing is a wound and when you get it done, you must cleans the piercings and take care of them to ensure that they heal properly and that you don't get an infection. If you aren't ready for this, you don't have to rush it, there will be plenty of time in the future for piercings.
One thing that is very important is that you have the piercings done by a professional piercer and that you do NOT get piercings done at Claire's or any other place that will use a piercing gun.

Piercing guns are dangerous and usually very dirty. They use improper jewelry type and size and should not be used.
While professional piercers might look scary, I assure you they aren't bad people.
Good luck to you.

If you really want to, go for it. You'll need your Mum or Dad or other guardian to be with you and sign a form that says they gave you permission. It's not that painful, but it can be addicting. I got my first set when I was three. I'm in my twenties now, and have thirteen holes total. Also, it's a little more expensive, but go to a tattoo/piercing shop and have it done there. The people are highly trained and use special equiptment.

Why not? Piercings have gone way beyond the ear. An ear piercing would be simple and tasteful. If you don't like it, you can take it out :)

i am 21, and my parents took me to get my ears pierced when i was 2 and they still look fine. if i dont feel like wearing earrings, i dont, and its not a big deal. the holes are really unnoticable. if you're still unsure, lots of places like icing or claires have really cute clipon earrings that could pass for the real thing...
good luck and enjoy!

Since your 11, the store would need your parents permission to do it. If you do pierce your ears, it feels like some one just pinch you and it will last for a few seconds. :)

sure, gopher it, they're not really that big a deal.
best piece of advice you will receive on this:
DO NOT GET PIERCED WITH A PIERCING GUN! for several reasons.
1) they can't be cleaned correctly so previous customer's could spread their blood and who knows what else.
2) the needle is more blunt than sharp so it more or less "crushes" through your ear rather than pierces it.
3) piercing guns can't be controlled as well as a needle so it could pierce crooked.
just, dont get pierced with a gun.

Are you a boy or girl? Young boys with their ears pierced looks weird, but for girls it looks fine. I like mine so much I'm getting my 2nd holes and 2nd cartilage! Also make sure you use good jewelry so your ears don't get infected. =D

Only if your parents agree.
You could mess up placement or get an infection if you do them yourself...
But if your parents agree to take you, then go for it! I've had my first holes since I was less than 2 months old. Got my second holes over 2 years ago on my 16th birthday.

DO iT! believe me you wont regret it. they're cute. earings come in many styles. so work with them. and if all else fails and you dont like them or they're bothering you. just take them out and in less than a month you'll have your old normal ears back. =] plus if your worried about them hurting. dont be. they give you a tingling feeling for like 20 seconds than it goes away. just make sure to keep them clean if you do decide to keep them. hope they turn out good!!!
